Because we tend to use five outfield players on the bench,instead of four and a keeper.Always have done.

I think the management team have been looking for a keeper better able to dominate his area. Mark Cousins (on loan from Colchester) is a very promising young keeper who seems able to do that better than Chopper, but probably isn't as good a shot stopper. Cousins won't be around next season, as he should make it to the bench at Colchester. It will be interesting to see whether we'll be looking for one, or two, new 'keepers.
