I agree with TC, I thought we played well and deserved to win, but I agree with Gazza that it wasnt a pretty game to watch.

I think both our lads that were on the receiving end of the two punches deserve much credit for not reacting. It could have easily decended into a mass brawl. As for the spitting incident, I wouldnt have blamed any of our players for seeing the red mist themselves for that as its by far the worst thing a player can do. I hope the ref puts it in his report and the FA chuck the book at him. Plumber had been having a go at his skipper for most of the first half aswell.

I thought all the lads played well but i do wish Millard would be quicker off his line. The goal aside, he was slow on two other occasions.

It was great to see such a big crowd and the wonbles fans did create a good atmosphere.

A good competetive game against two sides that needed the three points. Workrate and commitment again was first class from the players. Big test for Swaine and he passed with loads to spare, good to see we've put him on a contract. Plummer will be lucky if he isn't banned from football for another long spell. Big game tomorrow night when Staines play Hampton, Staines to win I reckon.

The bookies will no doubt have us as favourites but with our problems up front I can't see us doing much. We looked shattered out there...

Joe, you seem like a decent genuine bloke from what I've read by you lately - but I hope this isn't one massive wind-up ahead of Wednesday ! If any of our players read what you've posted and take it seriously, we'll have ELEVEN not turning up at Grays - they'll probably bypass the middle man and go straight to the trophy store to collect the silverware instead ! LOL

 

Hope we get to meet you win or lose at the Rec, lets hope for a cracking game fit for a final.

Neil, that is my wish as well. I can see Billericay fans might think I'm on a wind up but its not intended.

 

I'm not just a supporter of Fisher, as co-editor of the site/programme and SA committee member I would not make up rumours of players going awol etc if not warranted. Fellow Fish fans read these posts as well so things will always get back to the players. These kind of rumours if untrue could be damageing to my club so I would gain very little from it (apart from heated exchanges in the players bar!)

 

I say things with the clubs PR in mind but the injury's/suspensions are all true and that is the only reason I'm not giving it large like last time we played as I honestly think we'll be turned over.

 

I put the spin on the site/programme but forums I can talk more as a fan. I post on this board because mainly our own board is infected at present by idiots who have no association with the club and also because good discussion is on offer with not just Ricay fans but supporters from various Ryman League and beyond clubs. Its good to see what rival teams are upto but also good to communicate with fellow non league fans.

 

As regards to Wednesday i'll be there, just don't laugh at my metalic colour balloons (I couldn't get black)...

Hi, following on from previous posts a fan has just informed me that Steve Watts didn't go awol but had a jab on Friday and was told to put his feet up for a couple of days so will be back on Wednesday. (I was misinformed), only one striker went missing not two, gladly it was not Watts.

 

That's great news and gives us a better chance on Wednesday...
