I'm pleased for you that you have a club owner with bottomless pockets, enjoy - but stay off Roy Butlers grass without his permission. HIS GRASS ??? .......................... YOU JEST THERE MATE .

We are a cooperative one member one vote and don't have a big money backer. Brimmo earnt out of our joint social evening. It had to be done we learnt loads from it..........Heard it all before

Are you suggesting that my normally reliable source was telling porkies?

And i don't jest about Roy's grass and if you were at Southbury Road you'd know that! Groundsman of the Non-league paper, Champion of London and runner up in the whole of the South-East.

Enfield FC were back in the borough yesterday! Last night while we were listening to Jim's talk and all the updates from the board, EFC were training on Brimsdown Rovers training pitch!

Strange but true - I have heard that E's are getting very pally with BRFC these days!
SO ! whats it got to do with you townies then ? Brimsdown s&sc have to make money out of somebody for their facilities , I doubt they earn too much out of you tight sods. Setting up your own chuck wagon and having club functions in church halls cant earn brimmo too much dosh does it ?

If you had the opportunity to make more money from going to a church hall to hold a quiz night than holding it somewhere else, then would you not go with the church hall?
We pay 9k a season for use of wodson park +all bar takings for them ,You pay next to nowt at brimsdown . The very least you could do is have the courtesy to use their facilities to make some dosh for your hosts rather than set up your own. Seems like your pulling a flanker on brimmo to me .

Surely the idea is to make money to run the supporters' owned club than to 'make some dosh' for our hosts?

Why do we have to help them? I am sure they can look after themselves.

If you can buy a can of drink from your works canteen at a £1.00 a throw yet could buy the same can for half the price at the corner shop, then which would you chose?

The difference is that we put three times as much money per-game behind the bar at Brimsdown, than you do at Wodson park.Brimsdown have also gained vertually a new football ground out of our involvment with them.Have EFC improved Ware's ground for them at all? If you had, they might offer you a bit of a discount on your rent.We also provide Brimsdown with a full time groundsman and pay for resoiling/ grass treatment...ect.If you did that, maybe your rent would be the same as we pay.

Brimsdown have been very good for ETF .ETFC have been very good for Brimsdown. They do not owe us any favours,we do not owe them any.The situation is benificial for both clubs, end of.No favours expected or required on either side.Just as EFC and Ware Fc owe each other no favours.

You obviously don't know what functions we do & don't hold at Brimmo, so far the only thing we do elsewhere is our Quiz Night. We hold our Presentation Night, Kids Parites, New Years Eve Parties & other like that in the Downs Bar at Brimmo. You should get your fact straight before posting. I would not even think about questioning EFC on their Fundraising.

And me. I got there at 8:30 just as Jim was winding up!

I missed it also as I had a commitee meeting to attend at the same time and that had some intertesting news about ETFC.
