Enfield FC were back in the borough yesterday! Last night while we were listening to Jim's talk and all the updates from the board, EFC were training on Brimsdown Rovers training pitch!

Strange but true - I have heard that E's are getting very pally with BRFC these days!
SO ! whats it got to do with you townies then ? Brimsdown s&sc have to make money out of somebody for their facilities , I doubt they earn too much out of you tight sods. Setting up your own chuck wagon and having club functions in church halls cant earn brimmo too much dosh does it ?

If you had the opportunity to make more money from going to a church hall to hold a quiz night than holding it somewhere else, then would you not go with the church hall?

E's have been making overtures to Brimmo for ages so what? mates are mates.

I'm pleased for you that you have a club owner with bottomless pockets, enjoy - but stay off Roy Butlers grass without his permission.

We are a cooperative one member one vote and don't have a big money backer. Brimmo earnt out of our joint social evening. It had to be done we learnt loads from it.

Catering at Brimmo is like a bus sometimes there is service and sometimes there isn't and town fans were not willing to forever take pot luck that the kitchen was open for business (for whatever reason). The burger van meets health and safety regs and is providing a service that fans are content with.

Regarding considerable money being shelled out by one or two individuals on the EFC board. The same has been happening recently with Leyton Fc.

Leytons chairman 'Soph',has been pumping big money into the club for the last 5 or 6 years. This has coincided with his son being in the team. Many people suspect Soph may lose interest in funding the club to the same level, once his son departs or retires.

Will EFC recieve the same level of funding if/when Mark Whittington leaves the club?

I know the EFC fans have no choice but to rely on one or two individuals for the survival of their club (and from what i hear the current EFC board are decent people),but i would not want to be in a position again, where the future of my club lies in the hands of one or two individuals.

I agree with you Andy. if you can make more money by holding an event in a church hall than Brimmo then why not.

It is for the same reason we now train at Brimmo- it is more cost efficient than our previous training facilities. Our chairman does not have a 'bottomless pocket' and we, like any other N/L team need to save pennys where possible.(think thats why we had Danny Clarke back! LOL)

I think you will find that Brimmo do quite well out of ETFC on Match days. All Bar takings go to them.

With regard to the Mobile Burger Van that is now at Brimmo, that had to be brought in when the Kitchen inside the Bar was Shut Down, to enable us to offer Hot Food to Supporters.

Us holding events at Church Halls enables us to raise much needed funds for ETFC. If we had our own Social Club then it would be an entirely different story.
