Apologies

I think my decision to start the 'bring back Kinnear' petition may have been a bit rash. In truth, I Would love to see CK still in charge, but, as many have pointed out, he refused to change his ways, even with a losing team, and brought in many players who he never played, just used as bench fodder, who will have undoubtably been paid for being at the club. Everything has to have an end, and maybe it was time for us and Kinnear to part ways, I wish him all the best for the future and thank him for the wonders he did at the club during his time here. Now, to look forward, we now have a young (caretaker) manager who has already shown a willingness to change the way the team is managed, trained and seems to have lots of new ideas for the future, maybe this is what our club needs, a manager with youth and enthusiam, I'm not saying CK wasn't entusiastic, but maybe stuck in his ways. Trott has also already announced his interest in the job permenantly, so we never know, we may be onto the next big manager in non-league football. Good luck to Robin Trott and his blue and white army! I'm glad to see his willingness to get stuck in and instill a winning mentality.

Wow... I've written a post of a length worthy of Cookie!

Thanks MF, was speaking to people earlier and have already heard of the changes Trott is putting into the club, I'm already liking the sound of him becoming full time manager, from what I've been told the players are finding the training much more constructive, maybe this new boost will show in the performances, apparently he has them drinking Lucozade for energy now too!

I like Trotty.

He was walking back to the dressing room after the Wealdstone game, and I called out to him 'That was bloody lovely'

With a huge grin on his face he said 'It wasn't bad, was it?'

He loves his football. When he got that cut on his head, I do not remember which game it was, although someone I am sure will tell me, I can see him now with a grin as wide as the Cheshire Cat getting stuck in and not caring about it.

What we could achieve if he could transfer a bit of that to all the lads.

We have forgot how to enjoy of late. I want that back.

Well said Margateman & June. Believe me you have put my posts to shame MargateMan(long or short).Well done! Brilliantly put & respect to you for seeing the need for a change of direction.

I can understand how hard it must have been for you to do so but you too can obviously see the need for it.

Indeed, whats done is done, and I don't think going against the club is going to help anything, and as June said, Trott really seems up for this, and I think its going to work. I think he's going to get the best out of the players, and I'm confident of seeing a 'Gate win tomorrow!

Im taking those 9/2 odds. Actually Im snapping their hand off when I get in the bookies before I head to Hampton!

Nice one MargateMan and MF. Just as optimistic as I am feeling now and I feel a fresh change is for the best. After venting my feelings I have once more felt a lot more positive and cannot wait for the new era to take shape now. A change of system is what we needed. Also Trotty is the motivator we have been needing.
