Predictions v. H&R

Right, having never got a single prediction correct (being an eternal optimist I've never predicted a draw or defeat for the Gate-ALWAYS a win) but I'm gonna go for my first ever negative prediction. Would absolutely love to be proved wrong and for Robin to be the next big thing and bright new hope.

BUT, what's his credentials-where's his management c.v? It's all well and good having hope but these are five of the biggest games in the club's history and we're taking a GAMBLE on it (although certain persons at the club like gambling with its' future).

So it's not beyond the realms of possibility we lose all of them, go down, Rams become no.1 team in Thanet, ground won't get built but it's o.k. because the fans will stay loyal. Having read todays Thanet Gazette a word that doesn't exist in some peoples book. Go buy a copy and make your own judgements-I know who I think has got more intregrity.

I would normally be planning my route to Hampton but at the moment I've lost the faith-apologies but it's just the way I feel.

Anyway 5-0 Hampton (my first ever negative prediction). Prove me wrong boys and I will honestly be happy.

Awwww, Hornet, I am so sorry you are feeling like that.

I am looking at it from slightly another direction. I have printed out my directions to Hampton.

I will go tomorrow, as I always try to go to games, to get behind the players the way I always do. That is win, lose or draw, as long as they try for us. As for predicting any result for tomorrow, I would not even know how to begin to try, so I won't.

I don't think the players should be bereft of what has always been pretty fine support. All of this has left them as shell-shocked as us I would imagine, and I'll bet they need our support more than ever, and in every way.

Up the Gate!

Well said MF. What's done is done. Withdrawing support at this crucial time will only harm the team. I will be getting behind Robin and his men tomorrow as usual.

Bearing in mind a change of manager often leads to a dramatic change of fortune I will say 2-0 to Margate. I also predict we will have a strong defence for the rest of the season.

the lads will want to put on a show for RT and CK...

We'll get something out of this game, look at Leicester Citys form since they got rid of Levien, same players but for some reason they just play better trying to prove themselves more

3-1 Gate tomorrow for me. The boy Yigs to get them all (no pressure)

I'm sorry I feel this way too June but I think Chris was building a decent team and set of players for the future-remember he had to "start from scratch" and the season isn't even done yet.

Six games into next season and if things still looked grim I'd understand.

I just can't think of any non-league managers who could do any better and would want to come to a club at our level.

Hopefully Robin can prove me wrong just like Adie Boothroyd (young managers do seem to be the in thing at the moment-ooh a bit of positivity see) did at Vicarage Road which is where I'll be proffering my support against L*t*n T*wn this weekend.

I will be back to support the relegation struggle-just feel a bit down about the club at the moment.

I have a more optimistic view after my disappointment on Wednesday, I was very encouraged by Trott's comments in the Gazette today and he didn't seem anxious at all, and hopefully will raise player's spirits.

I can see (and also hope) that we get something tomorrow so will predict a tight 1-0 win, Hockton scoring.

Well numerous chances for Windsor on Tuesday in the 1st half happened due to this. Better teams would have been 3-0 up with the chances they had. In 2nd half their offside goal came about this way. Heybridge exposed us in this way as well although not as much as Walton did. Many many teams I have watched do this to us and I have torn my hair out over it. Not bald yet though <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
