Manager has less tactical knowledge than Steve Browne

A poor performance against a vastly superior Harrow team.

 

Hames has the least amount of managerial/tactical skills from anybody I've ever seen and has absolutley no ability to motivate and inspire the players.

 

I have a very bad feeling about Saturday.

Line up was Parkin, Wilko, Steele, Shone, Lovegrove, Braich, Moleski, Keller, Moore, Johnny Mason, Jaznokowski. Lee Curry came on at half time, Roland Kirby came on with a few minutes to go.

 

The tactical genius decided to use a Browne tic-tac and played Wilko at right back in the first half with Ravi Braich as right midfield. Think he was persuaded to put Wilko into midfield and Rav at right back for the second half.

 

Neither Ashley nor myself saw the second Harrow goal as we were conversing. At that point I tried to make it clear that his job was to manage the side, not turn his back on play and talk to irritated punters.

I have no concerns about Saturday. I still feel that Eddie and Westy will have the final say and if things aren't going well, will be the ones the players will be listening to.

 

Folkestone are in a great run of form at the moment, so it was never going to be an easy match regardless of who was in charge, but Ashley's debut hardly fills me with confidence.

Alan Judge was there last night and he contributed the necessary tactical comments. Ashley is effectively a glorified "supporter" who stood in the dug out shouting helpful things like "nice try." On Saturday Eddie and Westy will be doing what they usually do and Ashley will be trying to look involved.

So basically, we're getting free publicity and cameras along to film the match, when we're doing no different. Maybe we should do this more often to do what Brentford did and have a supporter in with them!

Ashley was more interested in trying to 'placate' the supporters than being a manager. It was pretty funny though in the first half when he was echoing encouragement to players that was shouted by fans.
