A year ago today, many realistic supporters conceded to the fact that we would be relegated as we lost 3-2 at home to St. Albans. A year on, I would like to know: are feelings the same as a year ago? Or are we still confident of staying up? Do not get me wrong, this is not intended to be a negative post - I would just like to know what the general consensus is?

To be honest I dont really know where we stand. I dont know how the players will respond. Whether some will be gutted and heads will drop. Or whether they all will come out fired up. Although Trotty shows great leadership skills on the pitch he is unproven as a manager so we will have to wait and see I guess how it pans out. There is noone better at the club to be caretaker manager than Trotty though. At least he knows the players fairly well and has the best idea of what needs to be done I would think. It would be daft to hire a new manager from outside now as he wouldnt know the players. The summer is the time for those decisions. But I do believe the players will be well up for it and we will now pull clear. If you have been in football for as long at Trotty has and captained some great sides such as the Stevenage team of the late 90s then we should be in safe hands.
