Tops fella. I am in Basildon too tomorrow and will take a few around the shops there for display.

I think Basildon is a hugely untapped area of support for Canvey - only a 20 odd minute drive away from the ground and buses that come straight past the ground. Must be loads of potential fans there I would have thought.

Another thing that could bring a few more through the gate is having a concession for students. There are quite a few about and having to pay full price just doesn't interest them. But slashing the price to say £7 down from £11 would make them think about coming over. So far, i have seen a lot of clubs have concessions for students and this gets more to come and watch.

It's was 8.50 for Students this season, but considering that's the same as an OAP - Plus an extra 2 pound if they need a seat, that's 10.50 for the old guys! That's probably where we're going wrong. No-one wants to bring their old man along and have to spend over a tenner for him to perch in the stand.

Just look at at last nights Evening Echo, there is a picture of Steve Tilson with a group of Children from St Katherines School which is based on Canvey giving away southend goodies!!

Why don't we go out to the schools giving them Shirts / Tickets or even running training sessions with some of the 1st team players, thats get Guliver along to entertain the kids

Last Monday our boy went on a school trip (Northwick) to Visit

Southend library, museum and finished up with lunch in a corperate box

at Roots Hall!

He was told by the teacher to remove his Canvey hat we gave him to wear that day!

We could offer picnic on the pitch? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I think its our ground that holds back our support.

Its good enough for me and the people on here.

People who are not die hards want good Value for money with pleasent surroundings.

The price of the Football, OK one of the cheapest in the league,

Park lane is not the nicest ground Ive been to.

Club house is too small, it is full when we have a crowd of 400.

Qs for burgers and teas are to slow wouldnt be so bad if you see the pitch.

They always run out too. Especially Chips

The New stand without a roof is Cold and lacks atmoshere.

Basicly there is not enough room there.

So Geoff, buy Waterside for a £1 and build a new Ground Next to that.

I don't mind Chavs coming to Park Lane - We've got Stewards who can handle them. It's if they'll pay to get in and sing with the Yellow Army that I'm more interested in.
