Its Bromley in the Final - they beat Ramsgate 4-0 tonight.

 

The final against will be played at Hayes Lane, Bromley on Thursday 27th April.

 

Brilliant - we now play Halifax on Tuesday 27th, Bromley in the KSC Final on Thursday 27th and Burton on Sat 29th. So the KSC is further devalued as its unlikely to get a massive crowd played at that time, and its not the last game of the season - what was wrong with the May Bank Holiday game?? (ok, I can guess - it means players need to be paid to extend their season at Bromley, if not ourselves).

Seriously, if the organisers can't be arsed with putting any value into it whatsoever, then please can we stop berating a manager who plays a second fiddle team for the early rounds. Can you imagine if Jackson had broken his leg for a poxy final sandwiched in between two league games on a non-football night in April.

I think you'll find its the clubs who chose the date .

If this is the case, it's almost certainly down to players' part-time contracts ceasing for the summer at the end of April, as Alan W suggested.

 

Nonetheless, a ludicrous date to play the final and a missed opportunity to maintain at least some life in this (sadly) progressively undermined competition.

Bromley's no-doubt-incorrect forum claims we insisted so we wouldn't have to pay another's week's wages... I doubt that was the case with a primarily professional squad.
