Reflections on tonights game-

michael

Recommended Posts

I will try Michael. We played nowhere as good as last Saturday because we did not keep the ball on the ground. It was good to see Hasim in the defence again and he did offer that bit more of protection. I did not see Berties sending off but someone who did said the foul did not deserve it but the stamping on him afterwards did. I thought Greg had a good game tonight But Yiga showed an immaturity and lack of vision which could have put Danny in a couple of times.

\i think we played a lot better when we went down to 10 men mainly due to Robin and Greg's efforts.

The subsition of Keister by Alllman was mystefying when PG told me before the game that he is fully fit and I said to him jokingly yes for the last 30-35 minutes and he agreed.

Anyway onwards and upwards for 3 points against H&R on saturday.

Don't agree with the thoughts on Yiga. Stunning performance, and easily my man of the match. Inventive, full of running, needed two of their guys on him all night, and still beat them, linked well with Greg, Lee and JK.

Hasim being back was crucial, they would have scored more without him.

Charlie made the most breathtaking save in the first half, (actually he made a few good ones)amazing, don't write him off yet.

I thought Yiga, Hockton, Keister, had cracking game and the rest of the guys picked there game's after Bertie was sent off.

Agree entirely with you June on all counts. All these players were majestic tonight.Charlie kept us in the game on several occasions,Hasim made a massive difference to the back line & going forward(though got concerned about his mistimed tackling at times, thought he might follow Bertie if he didnt watch his tackling) & as for Yiga. What a find.He is improving with every match he plays.Absolutely brilliant in my view. All three stood out tonight for me.

Thought Windsor were one of the horriblest teams I have witnessed. Thuggish cheats. And as for their chairman and manager-sorry I meant the referee and lino.

Yiga down the right wing-superb.Charlie excellent. Fans gutted. MFC board-morons.

Yiga was outstanding apart from in hindsight he should have put Hockton in. But I bet a lot of players would have shot. Oates excellent. Protheroe's passing with stunning. Great finish by Hockton. Trott showed loads of drive in the second half and Hasim and Keister battled and battled well.

I agree enirely with DaveG4TW - Keister, Hockton and Yiga were superb last night. I honestly thought we played well last night, and deserved the full 3 points. After we went down to 10, we battled really well. The result was an injustice IMO.

Ref and lino on the side of Windsor, what the [****!!****] were you watching!!

Missed all 8 studdings, kicks and elbows from your 7, allowed the 10 to get away with kicking Tilbury even though it was spotted by the linesman and allowed your manager to freely walk up and down the touch line throughout the game.

I suggest you take off those rather rose tinted glasses when you watch your next game!!
