Your Questions For Ashley Hames & Eddie Denton

Yes, it's as late notice as plenty of other things about this (!!), but I've managed to reschedule my day to get over to Windsor this evening, and will be filming the Q&A session with the management and local press hopefully.

What questions would you like to be put to Ashley & Eddie regarding the current project? Stick them on here and I'll try to get them included tonight.

Ashley, despite having absolutely no experience, and against the wishes of the supporters, you have been appointed manager of our great football club. What have you got to say to the fans who think you are a joke and will be an embarassment to Slough Town?

Cheers for that Gary - it really is a great service you provide for all us Rebels.

I would like to know what his dressing room involvement will be in terms of team selection, tactics, half time talk and substitutions.

I would also like to know if the club is being paid a lump sum for its involvement. Not really a question for Ashley or Eddie.

How much footballing experience does Ashley have? Is he a regular supporter or an armchair fan?

Does he have any knowledge of non-league football?

I would like to know:

1. Apart from The Independent which local and National papers are interested ?

(Eddie told me on Saturday that the Independent have spoken to him, when we had a long chat about this.)

2. How does Ashley feel about taking over our football club for the week, especially with some of the negative views ?

3. Has Ashley been to any of our games, apart from Worthing, since he found out about this adventure ?

4. Will Slough Town have any say about the final cut, as the programme will only be 30 minutes long ?

Eddie, how annoyed are you to be put in this position, Do you feel it a mockery to your coaching skills that have given a team with very limited resources a promotion, a cup win and a decent season against all the odds?

Surely we all want the club to well, don't we?
The simple fact is that we are stuck with him until the end of the week. The only way the club are going to get anything out of this is if we show the team, players and management support, encouragement and enthusiasm.

We are not going to get anywhere if we belittle them at every possible opportunity.

Oddly enough, I had a call from Richard Welsh, part of the production team, who welcomed the above questions. Purely I think, because he's not going to be the one on the receiving end!

Richard also mentioned to me that we may not be able to film this directly, so we will provde video footage, if allowed, otherwise a written transcript will be provided.

i think you've missed the point of having a question and answer session Nathan. We are supposed to give the guy a grilling to see how he responds to his new job.

In a real situation where an unknown manager with no experience is appointed at a football club it would be expected that supporters would be sceptical of his arrival. The questions you have highlighted above (mine anyway) are genuine questions that supporters in an authentic situation would want answered. Certainly they are the sort of thing that Adrian Boothroyd was being asked in his first few days in charge of Watford.

The way you are speaking suggests we should not question his management? Isn't that what being a football supporter is all about - questioning the decisions that are made, the team selection etc? Obviously getting behind the team as well but we should be allowed to ask difficult questions of the management team.

Full audio from the press conference will be available on the site later this evening.

I thought Ashley conducted himself very well throughout and stressed his determination for success on Saturday as part of this project.
