Come on then.....no predictions ?

No people walking around with sandwich boards & placards saying " the end of the world is nigh" ???? A crowd of 300 ? The burgers not up to standard ? The tea cold too cold ? A long queue for the food ?

3-1........James Smith (2) ( al la Mike Lyons ) and Luke boy (1)....and just to keep everyone happy, maybe a Scott Gooding og ?

Keep the faith......and if you are a moaner, and I respect your right to free speech ( enjoy it while you can !), then please keep away from me !

I thank you.

In the light of Grays having won their last two away games, which were at champions-elect Accrington and a thrashing at Kidderminster, and having won ten of their seventeen away games in the league in total and having lost only three; and the fact that we have won one of our last nine Conference games and lost 6-1 at Grays earlier in the season, the most goals conceded by any Conference side in a single league game this season, and are likely to be missing our first, second and third top league scorers (MacDonald, Jacko and Jukebox respectively) through injury...

...I admire your optimism, Hirsty. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Are you trying to cheer us all up? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

To add to your summary:
Bet365 have given us odds of 9/4 with Grays clear favourites at 1/1!

.....and the fact that we did the double over Grays and you did the double over us means it's a funny ol' game and anything can happen.

That's why we all love it so much!!

Good luck tonight fella's.

Lets get this straight gnfc123

We are not slagging anyone off . It has become apparant to me and many around me that he cannot do the job.

If I fail at my job , I loose it . If you fail at yours you loose it . Playing him cos hes the only right back is a disgrace. We should try and get a pase or local lad out there.

I am not a footballer by trade. Mr Gooding is and as such should be performing in his chosen profession.

We all have bad days at the office. And in big organisations its easy to hide if your poor. But in a small organisation , you will stand out like a sore thumb if you are being carried constantly.

As soon as Mr Gooding has a good day at the office I will praise him , but unfortunatley , although he has shown some better performances at times, he is consistantly poor at his job at this level.

For what its worth, I think that Gooding is a better player than the majority of his performances todate have shown.

The trouble is that as he is now the only right full-back in the club, he is playing in the comfort zone, knowing that it is very unlikley that he would be dropped. Certainly the way things are at present with injuries etc. leaving him out of the team is probably unthinkable.

I hope that he is with the club next season but has strong competition for his place in the side. That way if he does have a bad game and remember he is only human, everyone will have the occasional bad game from time to time, there will be someone in the squad to replace him??

Wait a minute............didn't we have a player by the name of Protheroe who could of fulfilled that position this season given half a chance?

(The last bit of this posting was very much tongue-in-cheek, the first bit was serious).

Very true, every player should be playing for his place in the side every week.

I certainly agree with W.V.N. about Scott Goodings abilities and that he has played much better than Saturdays performance would suggest and although I am in agreement about cover/competition for each position I don't believe Scott or any other player has a bad game on purpose. They all try their best but sometimes their best isn't good enough thats why they are noy playing in the Football League.
