The Have and Havenot decision.

AFF

Recommended Posts

According to an official Statement on the Muff web-site, the Conference have issued their decision concerning the Havant appeal against the original decision that their match against Weymouth should be replayed.

The Conference have deducted three points from Havant, and fined them an undisclosed amount. The match will not be replayed, however and the result of it [for the purpose of goal differences] will stand.

According to Martyn [sp?] Harrison, the Chairman of Weymouth in his Statement, it was in the written contract [the transfer agreement] between the two clubs that Taggart would not be selected to play in the match between the twio clubs.

On that basis, it seems to me that Havant should have been fined more or had more points deducted for that age-old crime of gross stupidity.

I think Havant should be congratulated for a) beating Weymouth unfairly in the first place, and B) appealing against the original decision to replay the game, thus losing three points in the process.

An excellent result all round for us. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
