Fair play to you for organising them and getting the social side going so well.

 

Your social club will be raising as much as Heybridges soon and that pays all their wages <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Your fortunate you have a concentrated support base. Your a home town team so I'm guessing the vast majority of your support is based in Billericay hence most are walking distance from New Lodge.

 

Taking nothing away from your efforts but I find it frustrating that our Supporters/social club is quite restricted in what we can achieve for our club. You would have thought that the majority of our support were Bermondsey based but this is not true. Our support base is spread all over South London and beyond and we even have an Essex contingent who all commute from Romford and Hornchurch. My point is these kind of events are non starters for us as its not practicle or viable. Also its tough to advertise in the Dulwich area for fear of upsetting our Landlords.

 

So I am a little sceptical as to what we will be able to achieve long term. I merely look on at your Social/supporters club with an envious eye as it looks great fun and wish my club could rival those events, maybe one day...

We are looking to have a poker night at our place.

 

Would you boys consider coming over to play and we will do the same at your next poker event.

 

Would be good PR for both clubs and good for the bar takings???

I'll look into doing the casino night another time Gazza, but if TC can get back to me about the poker that would be great.

 

Its a really easy game to learn Gazza, it took Toffee Claret 10 mins, so you must be up for it now.

 

Any night will of course be reciprocated.

Bub, I'm what I call a sucidal gambler...I go big for the big win and often take risks my bank balance can't afford. If you knew my partner in crime that I go to the casino with he will confirm this. I've had some very nice wins over the past 5 years but some bloody awful lossess as well...

 

As I'm getting married this year, my missus will quite probably kill me if I did the same. Anyway, got a evening planned at the casino with him as part of the "stag" celebrations... 2pm through to whenever...
