Thanks mate - couldnt agree more. we have a lot of time for Hx and appreciate everything they have acheived. Good supporters and we have learnt a few new words we never new existed. Cant wait for the final when our big drinkers will be out in force. Beware of a bit more banter coming your way. Have a word with our chair I'm sure he would prefer to play at Hx. He cant resist the offer of a £5.

To be honest we do not want it at the Stadium NTR, as we would not be able to enjoy it, Mat, Steve, Tony, Jono, Terry, Sharon, Diane and all the other match day workers and Myself realy want to be able to sit back and enjoy the day.

unc,i was in no way slating brentwood,i had a good day up there but was just suggesting that at this moment in time they are not the best supported club in the league,spoke to their chairman,top fella and the bar staff and everyone connected with the club was friendly,it was an off the cuff remark which really shouldn't of been taken any other way than that!(we have all at some point said that certain clubs have less support than us and i am dissapointed that i have been singled out for being a "big time charlie")

as for me drinking with coup,i went out for a drink with a romford fan and a couple of w.abbey fans yesterday and we all had a few beers,chatted about football,if i get on well with someone,i go for a beer with them regardless who they support,i don't go there to pass information on,i know none,although i love our football club i know for the best part that some of what goes on this forum is a laugh and people are always digging each other out one way or another,yeah some people are jealous about hornchurch but you can't blame them,we are a fantastic club with fantastic support and fantastic people behind the scenes,let everyone else worry about us

The pitch isn't great, bit sandy through the centre and towards the tunnel, but apart from the pitch isn't in bad condition at all <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

morning mate...I must confess after reading the thread again in the cold light of day that I did sound as tho I was singling you out and that wasn't my intention...meant more tongue in cheek than aggressively as was the poke at romford fans (altho I was a little miffed at the abuse hurled at daggsy for no good reason on our forum)

water under the bridge and all that mate,seriously though i just go out and have a laugh,as we did yesterday,we all know the forum can be missleading at times as things can be taken the wrong way but i think we all know each other well enough to realise it is just a laugh on here,thats why we are all forum junkies,every now and then it gets a bit serious but we can all have a laugh and a drink together afterwards,and one more thing i have to say to you unc

nowt to do with the people AN and no disrespect meant to your club.......just not a suitable venue for a cup final with potentially 500 plus fans...unless the improvements mentioned on here are substantial then the ground cannot handle that...

 

pitch aint too good either is it...

Hello matey, morning! Wondered if you would reply this morning!

 

No problem mate, we can only do what we can with our resources. Believe it or not we have had Cup Finals and matches before with well over 500 fans in the ground. Imagine what it was like then! All I can say about improvements is we have applied for promotion and like everyone else we have to have the grading so that should be a blanket call on the ground. The pitch is ok when its dry, your boys wouldnt have any problem with it. Anyway the gods will decide......

we'll play wherever we have to and just get on with it....no problems there but doesn't alter the fact that the last time I was at your ground there were not sufficient facilities to comfortably accomodate a cup final with a decent crowd.......cramming 500 people into a ground is one thing...having proper facilities for said crowd is another...

 

not having a dig at your club AN...just being honest...if the punters are paying they should be offered the basic requirements of M/F toilets in the ground and refreshments also...

 

anyway...I am sure that we shall enjoy the day should the gods favour you with the match..
