On the Heybridge website it states that they have signed this ex-Bolton striker. I know that he has just left Weymouth stating travel difficulties.

Apart from the goal I hardly noticed him. Rumoured to be picking up £500 a week though.

He was certainly kept quiet. I didnt even notice it was he who scored the penalty.Shows you how well we were dealing with him and the rest of their team,until the first defensive error,the lack of concentration,the lack of foresight,the lack of fighting for EVERY ball,the lack of aggression,the lack of fitness,the lack of brainpower,that broke the deadlock & broke our hearts.

In fairness to our lads it was really just one or two missed interceptions in the lead up to the first goal that meant they had men over in advanced positions. Something went very wrong at the back and there seemed to be a lot of confusion over who was picking up who and they had a man in acres of space (Holdsworth) who put it away. However although I am not being hard on the midfielders they should not have exposed the defence like they did for the first goal.

It appears that it was not Holdsworth who got the pen it was Jolly.

The match report (MFC) says it was the other way round.But then again Swifts version is the opposite as you have said. A difference of opinion it seems though I must admit I didnt think Holdsworth had scored the first goal. Still it matters not that much really..either way.

Sorry guys and gals, it is perty tough to make out the players at the oppositie end of the pitch at the best of times and those red numbers on black and white stripes made it even harder. For what it's worth, I've gone with Heybridge's version of events on the assumption that they could recongise their players bettre then me.
