fck me...was he bad or what....worse ref I have ever seen and an embarrasment to the game of football....

 

if there had been 'money' on that game and it had meant something there would have been holy hell to pay at the decisions that were made...

 

not a pretty game and some late tackles from both sides on a greasy pitch...poor show the tackle on sontag which was more donkyish than intentional...two free kicks given for fouls a yard inside the area....and the game dominated by Hx and lively on the eastside tonight...some serious banter was dished out and made it a good fivers worth...

 

decent crowd of 160 on a very wet windy night and I hope EM copped a few quid..decent folk and decent club...

Really terrible refereeing performance.

 

Their No. 5 was lucky to stay on the pitch after several bad challenges.Do not think he was a dirty player; just a really crap defender.He was even getting stick from his own players.

I also thought a header by tiffs in the second half had crossed the line before being cleared.

 

Overall the best away ground visited this year.

Well well, my favourite subject, the officials.

the ref as we know was, to put it mildly, awful.

I tried to look at constructive views, but he was nowhere near the play, and as in the APSA game, there was no communication with the linos.

i will not say any more, thank god we won, come back Mr Giacone !!

Oh the game, well yes it was a bit tough, but if the ref had have given early fouls etc..., all would have been fine.

Well done to all, even the Eastside, who I tried to wind up, luv u fellas!!

Ref total dipstick, spent the whole game running round doing airplane impressions!

 

Good to win again, must get back to finishing teams off and winning, so we can lift both cups.

i had combed my hair, gargled the magners and worn my most winning smile for my special date with the manor no.5 "in the bar...aftah..." but was told he'd appeared and vanished sharpish...

 

thanks to EMH dad of the 030 crew for sparing my blushes and letting me know of the no-show...

 

absolutely gutted. he looked the sort to take it up the wrongun on the first date too...

As it was an away game there was no player of the match tonight.

 

However for me one player stood out - Billy Drake was kicked, pushed, shoved, tripped, and occasionally fouled. He never retaliated and just got on with the game. He got little or no protection from the match officials.

 

His performance was brilliant.

the eastside feel responsible for his booking though. the ref looked straight at us celebrating the number 5 feigning injury and it was only after we were singing billy's name did he think to book him.

I thought the ref was s**t. The linesman on our side was f**king abysmal. The fat guy was ok though. We have had 4 games we decent officials and then we get that clown last night.

 

As for Billy Drake. He is a dirty little [****!!****] and if he's going to give it he's got to take it. As for MOM Quinney was the best player on the pitch. You gave him some stick and he just produced a great disply.

quinny was quality. the eastside picked a player at random to boo in the 1st half and he was the lucky recipient. i think that spurred him on...
