ground developments

Did KP not say at the last meeting the changes to the plans ( turning of pitch and movement north )were due to the space requirements of the clubs commercial tenants and that now the tenants had been finalised, leases signed, the scheme should be in forward motion. I can't speak for you guys but, if i was one of the prospective tenants then i would have my own time scale within which my venture would need to be up and running. It seems from what you guys stated in previous posts on the forum the talks with the Council last week seemed to be positive. so hopefully it is in the go phase. I also seem to remember that KP also made short shift of Mr Maskels planning questions. We are not only talking Football here but Multi million pound Business developments, again if i was attempting to develop a new site i would be really p----d off if my prospective landlord was communicating my commercially sensitive plans to one and all.

right then sorry i havent got back earlier cookie but when i posted this thread about 20 mins later i got a call from a supporter who asked why i had done this to which i replied ( i think the supporters need to know where they stand ). this supporter only reads the forum and is not registered but knows people within the club high up and they have said that the money is there and they have got permission, so that was why i put the second comment on that night. i still have my concerns. glad to see minime agreed with u cookie, perhaps he/she may agree to meet u soon.

I see this similarly to Blue blood as above.

Don't panic too much.

As consent has been given and MHdevmpmnt co. may be applying to a variation to the plan, the council would have to have very very good reason to turn down the variation.

They can't just turn it down for no valid reason.

The existing consent would always be there as back up anyway.(4 years remaining)

I would think that the need to turn pitch is a mixture of potential tenants requirements combined with MHDC need to maximise revenue.Nothing unusual in any of that.

It does appear to be MHDC bat and ball as lets face it, without their support 12 months ago, we would not have got the current temporary facility.

I think we need to trust MHDC, Mr Lever and KP to do the same by us over the next 12 months and ensure we remain at HDP.

I think our fear is that time is running out for another temporary build over summer-agree with that.

If MHDC were to say this is happening in 12 months time then think

we would all be ok.

Realistically it looks as though any submitted variation may be agreed over summer, then leases would need to be sorted which probably takes us until end of year.

Think question is, will MHDC be able to fund/allow the delay for 12 months, as to turn pitch once permission is given looks impossible because of timescale over summer, but can they allow it to wait until next summer.

I can see a pre-arranged groundshare for second half of next season on the horizon !!!

I wonder if a groundshare is allowed for part of the season only.

Not end of world if it was in second half of next season as we would still get FA cup and Trophy games at HDP in first half of season, and there would only be about 10 league matches played at another ground say between Jan and April, by which time crowds are dwindling anyway as most prefer to watch in warmer weather.

also the pitch should just about survive the better weather up until Christmas drainage or no drainage, but by sounds of things wil not last a full season if the weather is normal unlike last years very dry autumn where we were lucky

Not a disaster if that were to happen imo, and indeed would give a 7 month window between Jan and july to get pitch sorted and some of the main build, so that in Aug 2007 we are ready at HDP and only missed out on about 10 home games.

In fact, i think the above is a jolly splendid way to sort it all out even if i say it myself !!!

You are right James, but just the same, there would need to be a very valid rreason for refusal, since the footprint of the plot will not be changing much if at all.

Council can't give a refusal just because MHDC have changed their mind or want to submit something different.

Will anyone be materially worse off(neighbours etc) under any new scheme than the previous scheme-i doubt it, so council cant just refuse to be bloody minded

The Council wont refuse it. They will probably add more conditions to it as it will affect the area much harder than the previous plans which wasnt going downhill.

As to the last bit, the plans arent out yet so we dont really know. There were a number of residents unhappy with the plans due to noise and light pollution as well as the transport issue.

As Ive said from the start, the Council wont refuse. There is probably gonna be more conditions though, and rightfully so.

Being that we have submitted the aplication then i cant see why the council will say no as they said yes for us to build our ground on 24th June 2005 and nothing has been added and it is all staying the same apart from it moving 90 degrees and as far as my knowledge takes our The amount of land we are taking up is going to roughly be the same.
