I assume it is our ex player Charlie Taylor who came on as sub for fisher and scored 2.

imo its not that the likes of taylor, remy and amoako have become superstars overnight(though i always thought Remy and Adolf were fine), their new found goalscoring habits are likely to relate to teams actually creating chances via a decent midfield, whereas we create so few goalscoring oppoortunities via a non existent midfield

and today in the paper ck states that we dont have the players to play 442, so we shall continue to have a weak midfeild.

Such big superstars Remy finally joined Bromley but has now moved on to Staines. Charlie Taylor missed more than he scored for us and spends most of his time warming the bench at Fisher. And finally altough I am a fan of Adolph he is playing in a lower league.

Still des not prove much.

Yiga deen gradley Standen

or

Keister deen gradley Yiga

Not too bad, but agree we need one more class midfielder.(would prefer Protheroe at right back)

Can't see where CK is coming from on this.

Just completely fed up with us being overun in midfield. Its no use having 5 at the back-its too late then-the attacking troops are upon you.

Defence starts in midfield.

Is it more the case that CK does not want to ask Bill to sit on the bench ?

Is that really true? If so it's an odd statement, because CK shops specifically for wingbacks, and if none are available he forces unsuited players into the role (Sesay, Allman).

The foundation of a good 4-4-2 side is a settled back four, who play together week in week out. Players who know what the other guys are doing so you don't get two blokes going for the same ball while a striker is left unmarked.

We have good defenders in Protheroe, Donovan (on a good day), Trott, Allman. Bill is reaching the end of his career it's true, but Kola has looked good to date and we have until August to add to the back line. We also have JK who can do a good defensive job.

Sorry I don't buy 'wrong players for 4-4-2' if that was said.

CK has ruled out a change in formation ahead of the run in.

Fans have been calling for a switch to 442 after 4 defeats, but the Margate boss said” We haven’t got the players to do that; I don’t think we could change it.

I said before our formation isn’t hard and fast but if we switched to 442 we would really be struggling."

"Formation is dictated by the players you’ve got" kinnear said the players were angry at the goals they have given away at bil on sat as these three errors led to a 4-1 defeat.

He added “Again it’s very disappointing we've shot ourselves in the foot. We got ourselves back in the game then gave away a bad goal and were left chasing"

With Margate adding player’s kinnear sees as key men for next seasons promotion push, things seemed rosy during Feb.

So what’s changed over the last few weeks?

"Were playing top sides at their top form to be fair" said the manager "AFC dons are in the play offs W&H are in the play offs and Billericay are flying having beat fisher 2-0 in the week”

"It’s important to stay positive and not be dragged in a downward spiral otherwise you won’t get out of it."

"Its easy to criticise but then you become like any other club. We knew this season would be hard we’ve got to keep supporting the lads and get through it"

Midfielder lees performance was a plus point for CK and he could be interested in keeping him next season.

A season that will be in the RMP

"there’s no reason to talk about relegation said CK you just try and win as many points as you can - the same as when you are top of the table"

its 2 in the morn when i typed this so could be a few errors in spelling and so on..

It just means that in difficult circumstances he cant change things during the game either so that probably explains why he dosent make many substitutions. This is a failing I think, not being able to change things when things are going bad. Most clubs have this option but it seems we dont.

Like someone else mentioned its not possible to change the system he says but its alright and possible to play players out of position.????

There is too much importance placed on formations. Basically, the teams with the best players win the most matches. You could have put Jose Mourinho in charge of Sunderland - for all his tactical nous they would still be bottom of the Premiership.

Our season has been about clumps of good results and clumps of bad results. Not surprising given the number of players used (something I'm sure CK would have wanted to avoid).

As regards substitutions, again I think their importance is exaggerated. Most substitutions take place in the last five minutes of matches - they are mainly a device for time-wasting.

On Saturday I fail to see how any of the subs we named would have had a dramatic impact on the game. And often, especially at this level, the bench is made up of players who are not fully fit.

When we have had good results people on here have been babbling about the play-offs or how we're going to win the league next season. When we have bad results the same people start whining. The truth is in between.

Thats a natural way to react where footballs concerned CE.

Substitutes should be fit enough to be able to be called upon at any time during the game.If those subs are not fit they shouldnt be on the bench i.m.o. as it prevents other more fitter players the chance to shine. I know we dont seem to be blessed with numbers available so in our case it is understandable but with fit subs on the bench not only does it give us another option it also helps those players who wish to prove themselves a chance to shine.Substitutions ARE a valued part of football and they should be used if & when it is felt they may change the course of the game. And I am not just talking formations here!

C K will never change HIS formation,he's had all season to get players in so he could have options, but he won't!

What he said in the paper was utter rubbish and he is going to have to do far better than that to pull the wool over my eyes.

We could easily play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 but this is not HIS system.

"Coffin Ender".

I cannot comment on the last game re: subs but, i agree with you about the Gravesend/Walton and Hersham games. If we had to make changes other than injury forced, i couldn't see where any improvement would have followed. BIG IF. IF PG, OS or HD had been available then i would say yes we would have had options but, no to change for changes sake. Is kola injured or is he either very loyal or living in hope.

I cant really imagine ANY manager making a substitute for the sheer sake of it. There would/should always be a reason for doing so surely.I am not talking about any particular game but in general.

This only proves he just does not know how to implement any other formation and is therefore tactically inept. I'm sure we could all pick a 4-4-2 formation with the current squad we have. Mine would be Oates, Donovan, Trott, Allmann in defence. M/f of Protheroe, Dean(or Gradley or Standen), Keister and Yiga with Brayley and Hockton up front. Ziepe is another attacking midfield option so in truth even with the injuries we have more than enough players to cover 4 midfield positions. Come on CK give it a try - we can't do any worse surely!
