Exactly!

No sentiment here either, just know a quality, reliable & loyal keeper is a plus for the club, which is everything Chopper is.
Mark Cousins is a quality keeper, who at best we could see on another short loan period at the start of next season as he I imagine has his sights set a lot higher than th Rynam premier, and quite rightly so.
We need Chopper more than he needs us, he could stroll into any other side in level 3.

Chopper does have weaknesses and these have been demonstrated in one or two results over the years, including this season.

 

Chopper is a very good goalkeeper and may be the best shot stopper in the league but his weaknesses can be and are exploited by coaches who know what they are.

 

I have yet to discover a weakness in Cousins.

More important to me than which of Cousins or Chopper starts is why we don't have the other (or even Ken) on the bench for every game. Sooner or later the lack of a sub goalkeeper is going to hurt us and I'd rather it didn't happen in the next six games.

i dont want a huge debate about this but i dont think u can just sit back and say "relax, it'll all fall into place on its own" cos it wont, theres alot of people constantly working for this club- thats why things happen and do work out, without those people we'd be nothing, and next season WILL NOT just fall into place!

I have. He's got a dodgy haircut just like Chopper and Burnham Number 1!


On Monday I watched Chelsea Reserves versus Leicester City Reserves and Lenny Pidgeley for me wasn't as good as Mark Cousins.

There are only three players I'd want to pinch from Chelsea reserves, Michael Mancienne (Defender), Scott Sinclair (Striker) and Danny Holland (Striker). For me no one else in the Chelsea Reserves is good enough for us.

The only difference between Town and Chelsea Reserves was the fact the Chelsea striking was better (but for the money they are paid I would hope it was)!

Good also to see Arsenal first team beat Brimmo the other night at Highbury. Why don't Arsenal pick on someone their own size? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" />
