If you need some reminding, the chart of my Indie night plays is still here on this board.

Over to the rest of you <img src="/forums/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

I don't know if this counts but what about 'Vodoo Ray' by A Guy Called Gerald-perhaps more dance than indie? Classic anyway.

Agree with almost all bands on your list. I'm gonna make a shocking confession now and say I've never heard a Carter USM track and in fact I hadn't heard of them at all until I started posting on this board! But don't worry, I will make the effort to 'discover' them!

Voodoo Ray is still the best acid house record ever, it shaped a generation, I've got it and I love it!

Chubbhead when you discover Carter USM you'll never be the same again, they are possibly the best band of the early 90's and were criminally regarded as a novelty act by the ones who hyped them up as the best band in the world in the 1st place (i.e the NME). The amount of NME and MM covers they had in 91/92 it's really amazing that a band that big (they headlined Glastonbury in 1992) are now almost forgotton.

Basically what I'm trying to say is i'll sort you a tape!

Chubbhead. You didn't just send EFMTFTV your address did you? If so, that wasn't clever.

EFMTFTV, will you be there on Saturday?

I've heard 15 of them. All pretty good stuff. It's not Propagandhi, Guns N Roses or RATM obviously, but whatever flicks your switch.

EFMTFTV How many of them have you seen live? I only saw blur and the stone roses from the top list, but i've seen 11 from the second list (not bad for a librarian!)

I thought of another top 5, but it's not amusing and no-one else will probably want to give me theirs, oh well never mind

Top 5 books

1. The Outsider - Albert Camus

2. Straw dogs - John Gray (this has nothing to do with the film of the same name)

3. The fall and rise of Reginald Perrin - David Nobbs

4. Notes from the underground - Fyodor Dostoyevsky

5. Nausea - Jean-Paul Sartre

I should imagine you've heard Size of a cow. Can U dig it is currently being used on the Vodaphone advert with David Beckham in the supermaket q.

Northside is probably the best baggy record ever - find it and listen

First List:

EMF, Blur, Charlatons, Carter USM, James, Jesus Jones, Neds Atomic Dustbin. I've seen Tom HIngley preform the hits of the Inspiral Carpets but not the Carpets themselves.

Second list:

Blur, Oasis, Ash, Prodigy, Pulp, Cornorshop, Strokes, cast, Chumbawamba, Charlatans, Space, Manics, Catatonia. That's 13 wooooh!
