It's a shame...

...that the Weymouth away match is still a month away, and not next weekend, as it would be a perfect time to play them right now.

I fear they may have some of their confidence back by Easter Monday.

Looking at the fixtures, I reckon Weymouth will W4 D2, whereas Saints will W3 D3, so think it will still be play-offs for us.

Saying that, even just one win from the remaining three tough away matches would be a real bonus.

Also, I'm guessing that the FA (or whoever) still haven't decided what to do about the Weymouth/Havant match being replayed.

That's probably a reasonable prediction for the rest of the season. However, if City win this week it'll be a different story.

I think the FA have passed the Havant decision back to the Conference. It would be funny if they were made to replay but then lost again.

I have 'tipped' Weymouth all season on the grounds that Garry Hill knows how to spend the money and then motivate players to win - his main tool on that front is the fear that he will instil in them.

However, two things have changed over the past few weeks. Firstly, on reading their match reports, it would seem that the Muff are now playing Route One football, and I'm convinced that's not the way.

Secondly, We are through our 3 match 'blip' and are playing astonishingly good football with a terrific level of confidence. Every time the team cross the half-way line, I sense that they expect to score a goal. We are creating two or three times the number of real chances compared to goals scored.

If those things continue, we could be there as Champions.

Bring on the Farnborough!

I think the reall shame is the loss of Elphick as I have a real concern over Patrick for the Farnboro' and Histon games.

I hope I am wrong and he has some of his barn storming performances that we all know he is capable of....but we have also seen another side and thats what worries me.

Pat has performed to a pretyy high standard this season it was only the couple of last games eg cambridge and yeading where he let him self down i think he is more than capable and also cracknell impressed me in midfield and i think he can fill in tom's boots for the boro game. i also think we play better against the better teams we are more than capable of wininng every game now and i think we will to be honest any one think i am over confident?

I think pat will be good enough for the job and do it sweetly. I think if we manage a win again 'boro at the weekend it will be massive bonus, considering 2 key players are out. To me bastock, elphick and davis are the back bone of the team. All top draw performers and with davis covering every inch of the pitch its going to be a hard game against 'boro.
