They've done a load of work on the ground and were confident when we last visited them a few weeks ago, even had the brickies working while the game was going on and they made them pay <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

No doubt Waltham Abbey FC can answer this one but as a neutral seeing Capershotts for the first time since the turn of the year it is a delight to report the following .......

 

The ground is now totally fenced in from the cemetery and allotments. The grandstand has Manchester City's seats and lighting plus press box went in on Saturday. There is now room to take a corner kick at the cemetery end, tarmaced walkway from the entrance gate to the terrace, all signage in place and the F A inspected it for Step 4 last Thursday with instructions that the club will not have much problem in addressing ( such as moving the dugouts 3 metres ) - the club have done an excellent job and should be congratulated on all the work done.

The seats came from the old Maine Road ground at a bargain price! The car park still is the somme...but it's a big somme.......
