Only a month ago it looked oh so good for Slough...

In all the cups, high up in the league...

Now, we're 10th in the league, and yes we have games in hand, but they do have to be won, lost 4 out last 5, that win was aganist a wycombe youth side 1-0, and only have county cup left...

im trying not be pessimistic and look at just the bad side, its just difficult, and i still think realistically top 2 is beyond us this season...

I really believe all it needs is a kick-start, hopefully on Saturday - I can't see us losing to Great Wakering Rovers, even though I said the same before the Railway game..... I think we'll win Saturday.

I thought that slough matched kingstonian last night, and it was very much 2 individual errors that let us down.

Ryan Spencer showed his class when he came on. Both the Bubbs showed us the frightning pace they have - this could become a very useful asset to the team.

In a way, its almost a blessing in disguise that we're out of this (to quote Nigel!) 'Mickey Mouse Cup', because it gives us a chance to concentrate on the league.

As for Deener, his goal was a 'true strikers instinct!' Apart from that awful error from their keeper, he made a couple of blinding saves, just a shame nobody was pouncing on the rebound when he spilled it!

Time to get some points in the league.

I'm also glad we're out. Slough were never going to take this cup seriously anyway. When you consider how many competitions some clubs are actually in, there seems no point to it. The only things that matter are the League and Trophy, and money and coverage from an FA Cup run. We've done well in all except the Trophy, and it's a shame we're out of that so early.

But roll on Saturday when I'm sure our season will get back on track. Let's try and get a great attendance of 450+, it would be very nice to do so. (One of the reasons I look forward to the FA Cup so much is the large crowds at the Park)

in recent times it always seems that when we get a good crowd at home(proves the potential for good crowds exists) we lose, therefore never capitalising on them.

i for one think that we can win the league, providing we stop feeling sorry for ourselves and the players get over these injuries-in over 30 years of supporting slough i have never know so many injuries in a side as these last few years have produced,is it just bad luck or the calibre of player,or do a lot of them carry long term injuries before they come to us.
