Team Strips

I have to say it - I really believe that the team strip styles that I have seen in the last year or so are awful, with the exception of that currently worn by Margate, both blue and amber. Having said that I can't really include last year's green and white in this.

Recently I have seen team strips with shorts that make Stanley Matthews old baggy ones look like bikini bottoms and shirts that at best you could say that the player might grow into eventually. On one occasion recently players were wearing shirts with their names on that made you wonder why they had been given that shirt in the first place - if it was theirs as the name said why weren't they given one that fitted.

The black self colour socks do nothing - why can't we go back to two colour socks.

I know that this will probably be seen as of little interest but I firmly believe in the presentation aspect and in my opinion many of the strips I have seen are a let down.

As I said, I exclude Margate in this (although I would like to see two colour socks) as I believe that the strips, particularly the amber, are smart and do at least fit.

AS Gavin Henson said on Wogan last night,if you go out onto the field looking the business and full of confidence, it can just give you the edge.

I think its about time Bill Edwards reached for the false tan and shaved his legs.

That is obviously where we are going wrong.

(has Protheroe still got his highlights !!)

Would agree that kits are not of good standard. Bar Fisher and Heybridge they have been poor and some sides cannot even muster up a sponsor in this league. Billericay's kit was ok today if a bit plain. Must say I am a fan of our kits this season although the collar could be better rounded (being picky now).
