Billericay - Margate 4-1

Recommended Posts

Good win, totally deserved. They've had one good chance in each half - Brayley first half was saved by Ricky, Hockton stuck one away second half. For us we've had 3 good chances before even scoring, Warren twice seeing shots saved and Flack with one that wouldn't come down. Nathan headed in a high cross from Macca to give us the lead.

Second half we've gone 2 up with a peach of a finish from Hodges, good work from leon to set him up. They've pulled a goal back but then their 3 has had a mare, tried to control it in the box but failed and Henty made him pay. Tom Poole added a 4th as they crumbled.

As for the ex Blues, Hockton did OK but got no service. Brayley poor, did all the fancy stuff but no graft and kept trying to play 40 yard killer passes onto the head of Brown. Trott was left badly exposed by the formation - he was one of 3 (very) slow centre backs, and wing backs that didn't track back meant that our forwards, and midfielders bombing on had the beating of their defence all game.

As said above good team performance, I thought that Leon and Wozza both excellent- dominated the midfield.

Well played today, you really did what a lot of teams have been threatening to do and gave us a good hiding which was deserved. Inept performance from us but your lads seemed to enjoy all the time and space they were given and Warren had a great game. Shame he left us. Good luck in the play offs if you get there.

Very good performance all round. First half we played some good build ups but looked like poor finishing would cost us. Hodges goal was quality in the second half. When they got one back i had a feeling we would chuck it away again, but we played well to get the third and finish it off.

Good game, good result, excellent support from both sides. Happy bunny

Top peformance form the team. I was particulary impressed with Warren Ryan, certainly my man of the match!!!

Both our defence and our attck had the measure of the ex 'Ricay players who were let down by poor service and support from the rest of the Margate team (with the exception of Bertie, who's wallet must've been suitably heavy thus preventing him from doing much on the park).

A great result!!!

I couldn't have put it better myself. Congratulations on your win. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Well deserved win, and for the first time in a while we looked like we had a little left in the tank at the end of the game.

Man of the match was Warren, he was superb and what a goal it would have been had he scored from his run that started in his own half.

I thought Hockton didnt have a good game, his body language was that of a man who was not enjoying his game. He was probably watching Hodges and collins sticking the ball in the margate box wishing his team could deliver balls to him like that.

well done, good win and a good game to watch.
