Great interplay between Alexis and Hodges rips the Worthing defence apart. Alexis dummies a through ball, Hodges plays it back into the run of Alexis and they exchange another one-two. Alexis hits a first time volley across goal, but it flashes just the wrong side of the post as the home side begin to dominate.

Andy Lutwyche put in by Jamie Lawrence at the other end only for his shot to be blocked by Ballard before Carbon clears. Slough break and force a corner at the other end. McCleary's corner cleared to Carbon on the edge and shot cleared.

Carbon free kick from just inside the Worthing half is not dealt with and Alexis sneaks in round the back post to volley onto the bar, but is judged offside as Mason slashes the rebound off the bar well wide.

Martini is taking some time with each stoppage much to the fury of the crowd, but so far, Worthing have not lived up to their lofty table status.

Slough win the ball back in the centre circle and play in Ide through the middle. His first touch gives him some space and his low drive is too central, allowing Martini to make an easy save.

Worthing move down the other end and a right wing cross from Mustafa is misjudged by Masters as Alexander loops a header toward an empty net, but the ball goes just over in Worthing's best chance of the half.

Worthing break in round the back post and the ball is slammed home across goal by Mark Knee on the stroke of half time. A bitter blow for Slough who, despite not creating much, have looked the better side in the opening half.
