It is probably a fair guess that Miller is the mystery 'mate'

'A fair guess'?! Miller, somebody's mate? Slarti, I gave you more credit than that... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Reading both the official website and the local press, the reasons given by the club for 'sacking' Protheroe appear to be pretty 'lame' at best.
I was thinking that.

It's almost as though somebody is saying that it's Protheroe's 'fault' that we lost.

I'll go for the conspiricy theory. Daish wanted Provs out. He hated Provs because he defended Sodje after Daish criticised Sodje. Daish 'arranged' for the loan to Margate, lying to the press for his reasons, then bent BK's ear to sack him after his'loose' tongue when talking to a chum. I hope Provs wins his appeal & the truth comes out.

The reason I ask is because you’re showing a true case of Schizophrenia.

All posted on this thread from three months ago.

From the seventh post down...

Personally, I think Liam is the best talent spotter we have had in 25 years.

-------------

Nineteenth post down...

With every thing I am unhappy with, there is always a positive spin on something as well.

crowds are generally related to success on the pitch, not neccesarily the style of play.

People will pay to watch a winning side - even if the play is route 1.

------------

Twentyfirst post down...

We all whinge when we play badly and lose, and generally say our piece on here, then forget about it and look forward to a better performance next time.

Perhaps those with a hidden agenda should be a little more forthcoming as to their true intent, or simply shut up and go away, leaving this medium to those of us who really care for the club.

As Brian said, the chief culprits are those behind the letter to Brian and the 2 or 3 individuals who come on here with nothing but negativity. It can only be assumed they aare the same people.

------------

Can I recomend that you yourself write a letter.

Try reading my posting, Harry, it's in fairly plain English. "I believe in the conspiricy theory", is pure conjecture; an alternative, yet plausable story. It need not be the truth or even part truth. It COULD be!!

I reiterate that Liam is the best talent spotter we've had in 25 yrs - I just think that should be his main job.

I can just imagine Lee's call to his friend;

"Hiya, mate, it's Lee. Want some info on Gravesend for Saturday's game? Well, Daish is likely to field an 'inexperienced side' with a healthy dose of loanees and a smattering of players barely Conference South standard. He'll try to confuse everyone, including himself, by playing an unrecognised 'striker' up front and a defence with more holes in it than a whore's drawers. Don't worry about the midfield, the long balls from the back bypass them anyway. They'll kick off and immediately hoof the ball in the general direction of Cambridgeshire and continue to huff and puff a lot without actually achieving too much, seemingly completely devoid of any direction, tactics, gameplan or leadership from the touchline. Score against them and they'll collapse into a whimpering heap then play the rest of the game running around like headless chickens while the manager leans against the dug-out doing precisely bugger all. On current form they'll be a Ryman league side again in three years' time. Three easy points, mate, no probs."

Tell us something we don't know.

The various recent threads concerning, among other things, Daish's man management skills?, and general alleged reports of bust ups with other club officials and supporters, it makes me throw my thoughts back to the time when we appointed him, and the many warnings and general hostility toward him by a fair number of Havant supporters, at the time I kind of just passed it off, as most managers have their critics at any club they serve, but now i'm beginning to have my doubts.

If you're going to quote, at least quote the entire sentence:
It ended with 'yourself and myself included.'

Well you said that I had said something that wasn't true, I didn't get the exact quote but then it wasn't needed. I got the important bit and that was the bit that wasn't true. Whether or not you post stuff that is contradicted three months later is up to you.

Err no this is not what I said, I said that I have not done a complete 180 degress u-turn in my summing up of the way the club is run managed.

Joking aside, the Fleet managent have come out of this in poor light; first from Lee's inital dropping to a player certainly no better, then the leak of his 'loan', the the reason being given was a player of his age needs football, then to his sacking. All points to a rather ruthless and nasty way to rid ourselves of one of our most dedicated & loyal players. Jacko, Macca or Jay next?

I actually said that you post comments that could be taken with a pinch of salt, not that they were contradicting ones.

Neither did I say that you have.

However, this time last year I defended Liam with such comments as 'it isn't his team' blah, blah, blah.
Well it is his team now.
Not so much the players that's the issue, but the manager.
