Lee Protheroe

Chris Kinnear has secured the signature of Le Protheroe, who joins us on loan until the end of this Season from Gravesend and Northfleet.

 

Lee, a midfield player, will be available for selection against Billericay and we wish him the best of luck.

Seriously, a fine signing you've got there and while I've no particular bone to pick with our manager, his exclusion of Lee was an error of judgement.

No. He is 31. And a right back or wing back. And a class act. Great right foot, superb at free kicks and a great crosser. Also a decent bloke to boot and a good man to have in your team.

Similarly, i thought he mainly played at right back ,but could also cover in mdfield.

InRyman, he will probably be fine in midfield.

 

I would think timing of signing-day after transfer deadline for conference ,means that he was really looking for a higher division club, but when it did not happen, settled for us.

 

Would think he knows Bertie B from Canvey days.

 

Tomorrows prediction:Protheroe and Ryan to have a fight and both get sent off !!
