Sorry to invade your forum but as a mum i must tell you some great news about the Youth of canvey.

 

Castle View School (Year 9)are playing in a final at Park Lane next thursday afternoon after winning their semi final yesterday against Deanes School.

 

Today they play yet another Semi final against Westcliff High at Castle View 4:oclock kick off.

 

Also to throw in they won their League as well not losing a game

 

Ten of these boys have play for Canvey Island Youth of which two have gone on and joined proffesional acadamys.

 

We on the Island have some great talent lets Cherrish it.

my little boys team benfleet villa under 11s also won there league only losing two games, but there are some players in that team, that have the natural ability and should be playing professional when they are older

Kids have got better and better year on year with little un's showing more knowledge about the game even in exhibition footall. I've seen 8 year olds that have more football talent than I've ever had.

 

Only down side is that as the kids have got better some of the parents that watch have got worse <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

i go 2 castle view and im in year 9 aswel and the boys do play really well and deserve to win lets hope they win on thursday!

the game is likely to be played within the next 2 weeks but due to 1st team and reserve training the games only free date to be played is thursdays. it was due to be played last week but the semi-final game was postponed which meant the final was to.

just to add to the young and talented, on the official website canvey's 18's are now in TWO cup finals!!

that school match that is supposed to be tomorrow, the Canvey mad site says it is postponed but the official site says its on. can anyone confirm if it is on tomorrow or not, i have the day off and might pop down

it is now thursday the 20th april due to weather. possibly 3 finals from castle view year 9, 10 and 11s will be playing on the same day. maybe we could get them out on one of our home games before the 20th?
