Rumours keep persisting of a groundshare/merger/Jeff King joining the Athletics Club at Melbourne! What's the word on the street BC/Sean? I want two clubs to take the rise out of, not one!

Ryan - I MUST take exception to your referring to the Clarets as an "Athletic" club merely because of the nature of the facility at Melbourne Park.

As far as I can recall, we have NEVER referred to Ricay as a "farmyard" club, and I must therefore insist that you discontinue the reference immediately.

'club mergers' are a difficult thing to predict.....big clubs tend to stand alone....Hx and Ricay are of course in the stratosphere of 'big clubs' which is why we never talk about such things....our true gates speak for themselves....we just dont tell anyone...

 

now little clubs...such as yours and canvey and the braintree that falsify and seasonally adjust their attendences to LOOK like big clubs are another matter...

 

makes sense for you all to merge.....

First post by Dave Power and option 1 would suggest that Chav City don't want to get to the Conference by effort. As it is "Option" 1 on his list, he would rather shoe horn their way into it by merging the clubs...Well at least C****y Island got there by effort!!!

Ah, but most of the following posts seem to favour merely the input of cash with City making their own way to the Conference.

Anyway, IMHO I don't think it will happen, but we'll just need to wait and see.
