Yeah, apologies on behalf of those who sung it if it was in bad taste. I'm sure they didn't know it was going to be a bad injury. If it is a gashed leg and not a broken leg then that is not as bad as first thought when I saw the ambulance. Good luck and win the final now to put Ramsgate in their place. The whole club there could do with taking down a peg or two. Thats of course if they beat Bromley.

I apologise for starting that song as i did not know he was that badly injured but when i saw the treatment he was receiving i felt bad and i was a bit worried. But by then it was too late to change the past i did applaud him off though and i hope he gets better soon. Well done on reaching the final and good luck for the rest of the season.

You have officially kissed and made up, thank you. We were a bit peed off at the time, as you may have gathered. Good luck for the future and well done for being man enough to admit and appologise for a mistake, there's many out there who wouldn't. Respect.

Well said end of

You will find that nearly every Margit supporter who inhabit these forums are of the same mind as us, very loyal to our teams, but also decent at heart.

I have aquainted myself with a few on-line and found them all to be like that. We all get carried away in the heat of the battle, but at the end of the day we are all genuine football fans.

And they can't help it if they live in Thanet.

I was stood in the middle of a number of Gate supporters, Young and old.Last tuesday evening, They were there to support there team the same as I was,The two lots of lads with the drums etc having there singing competion,The majority I found was all good hearted, and sometimes the banter was even funny, was not until jackson was hurt that it changed.Heard a few comments fly between the two parties, but did not seem to last to long, I feel it was just a shame that the word sorry was not said then rather than let the ill feeling carry on, in saying that has been done now, so should be put down to experience and forgoten about. In fairness there probaly is not one of us that at one time or other not told a opposition player to get up and stop faking it etc, then find out he is really hurt.

When Paul Sykes died last year a Margate fan apperantly shouted get up you lazy twat. The reason why i did not say sorry was because i werent to sure if that you would have accepted my apology at the time as you were all peed off. I clapped longer then anyone else when he was being carried off along with the other Gate fans. I also enjoyed the banter. For future preferences especially if you are coming to the Syko challenge i was the lad in the glasses about 6 foot 2 and i was standing next to the lad with the small drum.

It makes you wonder why people bother doing it in the first place, though. Telling a genuinely injured player to 'get up', or words to that effect, is truly one of the most idiotic things a supporter can do at a football match.

I normally reserve such a response for serial offenders like Pretendergast.

Quite simply, though, the best course of action is to never do it - then you don't leave yourself open to looking like a bonehead if it turns out the injury is genuine.
