I thought Bromley should've put the game beyond us in the first half but for a great one on one save from Millard. We certainlty rode our luck and made things difficult for ourselves but in the second half, two great goals from Nathan and Flack one top of a great battling performance gave us the edge.

Another 90 minutes of semi final action in two weeks.

Well done to the lads and we're off to Grays!!!

We played very poorly in the first half, passing going astray, no balls into the box. Bromleys goal was a cracker and they deserved their lead.

Second half we played so much better. Both goals came from simple balls into the box, well converted. Made it look so easy, why cant we do that more often?

Anyway, the boys deserve to be through for their battling second half performance. Day out at the cup final to look forward to, fantastic

Fair play to Bromley, again there was almost nothing between the sides - in the end it came down to our strikers took two chances, theirs missed a couple. They certainly played their part in what was a cracking cup tie over the two legs.

First half our midfield didn't really get into the game either in attack or defence. They've taken an early lead with a well hit shot from Sam Woods. Not sure if he was unsighted but Millard didn't move. McDonnell's missed a couple of good chances, we've not really troubled their keeper.

Second half we've equalised early on when Nathan's stooped to head in a cross from Flack. We've started to pass it a lot better, wasted a few chances of our own. Flack's won the game with a close range header from a Collins cross. The movement and energy was a lot better from us second half, and we've defended well under pressure late on.

Warren Ryan was cup tied, Lee Hodges ill (flu). Pat's suspension now over, he was down getting physio on his knee.

yep, well done lads. Agree that Millard kept us in the game with a superb save. Add that to the amazing double save he made in the first leg then i think its fair to say that he personally couldnt have done anymore to see us through to the final.

We played to their strength in the first half by hitting long passes. They seemed to have a giant in ever position. Why do we never get the ball on the deck againt tall oppo?

I thought the crosses for both goals were different class and caused the Bromley defence no end of troubles.

We didnt play as well as we did on saturday but we showed a lot of character to come from a goal down. I thought matt game had a good game last night. I also thought their number 4 over the two legs was very impressive, can we sign him please?

Well done lads looking forward to the cup final now!!

Well, a CUP FINAL!!! And to be fair to Bromley, we were not really looking at going to Grays in the first half. BUT, what a difference a half time can make! We came out a completely different side. Ball on the ground and the movement was totally different.

We have waited for many a year for the taste of reaching a final, SO THANKYOU TO EVERYONE AT BILLERICAY TOWN for making it possible.

Final word goes to the Bromley fans, who were a good bunch and fair play to those of you who stayed behind in the bar.

Well done ALL!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" />

We were awesome in that opening spell at the start of the second half and without the help of the cross bar and a couple of missed chances Bromley could have been behind by 3 or 4 goals after an hour.

If I'm correect this will be our first final appearance since the last of our 3 back to back Essex Senior Cup finals in the early 90's.

I cant wait!

Congratulations to the players who battled hard to reverse the scoreline and put us in the final. To be honest, the performance for me was secondary last night, just getting into the final was the goal. Success hasn't happened to frequently over the last 20 years or so at this club and we now have a chance to win some silverware for the first time in 16 years. I believe the final is to played on Wednesday 12th April at Grays Athletic FC. For those who haven't been to Grays recently thier ground has changed beyond recognition and will be decent setting for a cup final.

Yippee!!

My first proper cup final since I started supporting the Blues 8 years ago.

The tie was very close (as was the league game) with various swings in fortune, but thankfully it was us who just managed to fall over the finish line in front.

Well done lads!!

If that's the case presumably we wont have to play Harrow Boro less than 48hrs later on Good Friday?

Fair do's.

So, it's 4 games in 10 days starting at Home to AFC on 8th April and ending Away to Redbridge on 17th April, including a Cup Final bang in the middle.

A veritable feast of football. I feel a "domestic" coming on. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />
