It's League Cup 2nd Round time for most tonight (are your lot playing, CANV?), although we don't play til next month.

 

Presumably the draw for the 3rd Round will be made this Friday. Any preferences anyone??

It's about time we won the League Cup.

 

 

Top 5 Competitions we've under-achieved in

 

1. The League Cup - One Final appearance 12 years ago.

2. The FA Trophy - Only once have we ever advanced past the last 32.

3. The Herts Senior Cup - Won it once in last 34 years.

4. The League - Failed to win it since the 1920's.

5. The FA Cup - As AFF pointed out, we have failed to win it now in 95 attempts!!

A very fair point! Obviously, AFF is a self confessed egg chaser and may not have realised that Football League and FA Cup football stopped for the duration.

They do, they are the sponsers on the very annoying adverts on TalkSport for all of Hornchurch fixtures, I think!

 

Today was especially funny loads of noise and fanfares about the essex senior cup tie with SOUTHEND tonight, if you listen very closely you can just hear under a fanfare the word MANOR, yes SOUTHEND MANOR in the essex senior cup.

And by the way the only reason I remembered that is the fact I'm playing St.Albans v Southend in Div 3 on Championship Manager (isn't work hard) And scoring 2 goals for Southend was Brayley who made the short trip from the island.

 

City won 3-2 in the game before the big FA Cup 3rd Round replay with Man City
