Having only seen Slough 4 times this season ( including last Saturday) - then yes , you are being very optimistic

The defence struggled against Marlow and Harrogate , the midfield was non-existant in the second half on Saturday

The only Slough players ( in my limited attendance) to come with any credit are : Daly , Barrowcliff , Palmer and Winston .

On what I've seen so far , Slough would not survive in the premier division.

The best I've seen us play so far this season would definately be the Hampton and Canvey games, the Northwood match and probably the first day of the season. We have had some very good performances but we are probably too inconsistent to do well in the Premier League but with the curretn team plus maybe a couple of additions we could probably hold our own.

Yes I think you are far too optimistic talking about challenging for the Conference, but the side at the moment would comfortably hold it's own in the Ryman Premier I believe. There are a lot of average sides in the Premier that we would beat and I feel we would get a comfortable mid table - lower half finish with the current squad. Also the reason I believe we were relegated was not because of what happened on the pitch - it's what happened off it. <img src="/forums/images/icons/smirk.gif" alt="" />
