Sponsored Walk

Ian

Recommended Posts

With the walk to Harrow only a few weeks away, planning is well underway for a suitable road route and will be confirmed in the next couple of days. For anyone wishing to participate, and I hope there's loads as it's such a short trip, sponsor forms will be available to collect from the Supporters Hut at Stag Meadow on Wednesday.

As well as the road route I believe there is a river route (well, canal actually) being considered although this will be confirmed once I've spoken to John Tebbit.

Given our current homeless plight, the charity we are raising money for this year is Shelter, who help 100,000 people a year fight for their rights, get back on their feet, and find and keep a home. Shelter are one of the charities supported by the Football Federation and many of you will be familiar with the "Strip for Shelter" days that run throughout the year.

So, come on, it's only about 15 miles....who's taking part and raising money for a very worthwhile cause? Don't forget also that almost half of the money raised goes to our Supporters Trust. I'll start the ball rolling.....I'm in!

Mileage may be slightly longer than first thought due to having to adopt a "safe" route. Still less than any previous walk however. I need to drive it and find out which I'll do this week sometime.

Forms still available on Wednesday night.

Is that on the canal towpath, or do you have one of those super amphibicars, Ian? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
