The camera is plugged into some sockets on the gantry which apparently feeds to three separate TV's in the home supporters bar, the away supporters bar and the sponsor's lounge behind the gantry. It might even be fed into the Boardroom as well.
Sometimes the TV's are tuned in to Sky's Soccer Saturday (Jeff Stelling) instead, but I know it was on in the away supporters bar yesterday as when I did a half-time cut-away of them going in there, they all came out and er...'waved' at me ! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bootyshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue2.gif" alt="" />

Cameraman! Your a bloody hero Mate! I did notice you up there and expressed my concerns to some of my fellow supporters.

I looked up to make sure you moved at the end of the game, I feared you may have been frozen to the spot.... must have been a good advert for the clothes you were wearing.. Perhaps you can get some sponsorship from the manufacturers next winter :-)...

On my head was a woolly hat, a balaclava on top of that, a chav-style hoodie on top of that and a waterproof hooded rain-mac on top of that (velcro'ed up tightly under my chin).
I then had eight, yes eight, layers of clothing on my top half, plus ski-ing gloves, two pairs of jogging bottoms, two pairs of thick ski-ing socks and a pair of hiking boots...and I was indeed frozen to the spot at the end despite all that !

Have any Canvey fans ever been to the Himalayas or Antarctica ?

Did anyone watch the game on the TV's in the bar(s) as it was going on ?
Hope the camerawork was o.k., as I literally got blown off my feet a couple of times !
It was impossible to keep the camera steady up on that gantry.

Us York City fans in the bar at Half Time were well impressed with your camerawork. I couln't belive how much the gantry was shaking in the wind. We watched the first couple of minutes of the 2nd half in the warmth of the bar before returning to the terraces. Well done for doing a cracking job. You must have been freezing up there!

Don't suppose you're the fella who videoed the Enfield v York City cup games back in '97 are you? If so, are they still available on DVD?

Those games are still available on video, but I haven't transferred any old stuff (i.e. pre-2003) to DVD yet.

Nice one. I'll have a look. I would like a copy of both games but I could really do with DVD rather than video.
