Lee Boylan's FA Youth Cup Final Appearances for West Ham 1995/96

Browsing the net and came across the records for the 95/96 FA Youth Cup Final records when Lee played for West Ham v Liverpool. Interesting to see Michael Owen on the bench for Liverpool but surprisng how few players who were involved in these games actually ever made it.

Wonder what Lee thinks when he sees his team mates from those games - Lampard and Ferdinand playing for England, winning medals and earning a fortune when potentially as a youngster he looked very much like he was going to have a huge future in the game too as a Premier League player.

wasn't no6 Emmanuel Omoyinmi the player who famously played for West Ham while cup tied in the League Cup against Aston Villa. West ham won the game but had to replay it and ended up losing the tie.

Yes that`s him, he was at Gravesend but i`m not sure where he is now.

Had a look, Omoyinmi now plays for Lewes

Thanks Mate.

Played with a groin strain at Blackburn in the Hammers 3-0 defeat, as I remember when all the other keepers were injured.

Only 17 at the time, never played league football again either. Remember too that he played with his number and name pinned to his shirt that fell off during the game as nobody had taken a keepers shirt along to the game for him that had been properly prepared.

Oh well, at least he is in the records, I would have given my right arm to have played just a minute of league football for the Hammers.
