I appreciate that the questionnaire is very long, but the penultimate question is very important to us Fleet fans, so please make the effort and complete the questionnaire.

"Ensure the successful future of Gravesend & Northfleet FC by providing a stadium in Ebbsfleet City where it is easy to get to & not on a new site somewhere in the back of beyond. Town centre would be even better - when you can find sites for Indian temples then you should be able to provide for the local football club."

How many football stadiums do you reckon would fit on the same site as the Sikh temple then FF? Answer: Not even one. Where is this mythical town centre site large enough for a new stadium? Answer: There isn't one. But at the risk of motorists having collective seizures at the suggestion, the Parrock street carpark would have fitted the bill nicely! Of your original comment, as Wenger said of Pardew, this is ( perhaps ) bordering on the racist?

Oh yeah, I'm Daily Mail reader too, apparently.

I don't see it as racist - just highlighting the fact that land in prominent locations can be found when 'needed' to.

The Sikh temple being one of the more recent examples.

Still, gave you a chance to point the finger of extremism again.

Is the Lord Street car park really bigger than the area occupied by the Sikh temple though?

My eyes must be deceiving me.

FF I have this week seen a recent aerial photograph of Gravesend and having viewed this I had not realised that there was land to the south of the new Temple that was now vacant. Accordingly I agree that in terms of area this is similar in size to the Lords Street car park. Sorry. As to the availability of the land would this have something to do with a purchase rather than a gift? I don't know the history of the old barracks site, but I am sure that when it comes to a new ground for GNFC we will certainly not be providing the cash for it.

Dear Questionnaire respondent

Thank you very much for responding to the LDF questionnaire. Unfortunately there has been a technical issue with how non response to questions was dealt with which means that we have to ask you to complete the questionnaire again. The questionnaire remains online at http://www.gravesham.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=2530 and we will be leaving it there until 7th April 2006 to allow more time to respond

We apologise for having to ask you to compete the questionnaire again. This does not affect paper copies that may have been submitted.
