Fisher match thread - cup

Blue Rebel

Yeah, disappointing, but deserved. Fisher player having a proper strop after winning the pen and then not being able to take it.

They went 3-2 up when we were enjoying a good spell in the second half and continued as they did on Saturday, despite making three changes to their starting eleven.

Our line up was Masters, Steele, Avery, Daly, Ballard, Woodruffe, Wilkinson, Alexis, Hodges, McCleary, Ide

Subs: Mason, Harris, Carbon (used), West, Parkin

Hard to believe but the Rebels really had a go last night, much much better than saturdays lack lusted effort ! 5-2 was a bit harsh, poor mark gave a penalty away in the last min ! However lots to shout about last night had another good laugh with all the banter and fun takeing of their goal keeper ! what a tart ! .....

Keep at it Slough ! at least you kept going, but the difference between the teams is about 8,000 pounds a week . by what people were saying !

up the rebels...

After Saturday's shambles I thought the boys gave it their best shot tonight especially after going 1-0 down early on. Everyone gave 100% especially Hodgey who gave their number 5 a torrid time in the first half which forced him into scoring an own goal with his arm.

Unfortunately we couldn't keep this effort up for the full 90 minutes.

IMO Fisher are certainly the best team in this division. They seem to have everything, strength, skill and pace, not too dissimilar to Yeading last year.

I was disappointed and a bit bemused that when Eddie made his substitutions with 15 minutes to go he left Chopper on the bench and only brought him on with 5 minutes left, I couldn't see the logic in that at all.

It was a much better performance from Saturday even if the scoreline does not really reflect that. We looked much more like a football team, the side had a better shape and we seemed to have a good deal more passion. Sadly a few mistakes lead to goals and the fact is they are a better team than us.
