He should remain in the Conference if he does leave us, certainly no lower than Conference South! That should be testament enough to his abilities. Possibly not the greatest defender in the world, but his attacking play and crossing ability is very good.

Proth's is probably the best striker of a ball that we have, he hits his crosses and long balls very flat which makes them much harder to defend against and is pretty useful from free kicks around the box.

He would be an excellent signing for Margate if you can get him, particularly if you have someone upfront who is good in the air.

I think Proths is one of the few players who , given the chance, will show passion at the fleet.

Always gives his best. Can attack an opposing wid emidfielder as opposed to goodings turn back pass back policy.

I am seriousley narked he is going and will be a big asset to Margate.

Is he cup tied for the KSC anyone. At leats , we can see him at Stonebridge road again if not on 21st

been on the cards for a while. Margate if rumours are true.

Heard that he and Liam dont talk . Period

He sat about 6 seats away from me last week, still very proudly wearing full suit and Fleet tie, but looked like a player who had been ousted.
I would say that Lee was/is one of the most committed players to don a Fleet shirt in recent years.
He looked as pleased as punch when he joined from Canvey - he looked like a Fleet fan!!
My preference is still Lee over Scott. Despite his defensive shortcomings, he adds a whole lot more to the team by way of passion, commitment and forward play.
I will be very sad to see him go. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Have to agree.

One of the technically better players that we have.

Not the quickest maybe but he makes up for that with his football.

I don't think that he has had the best of games in the last few months (when he has got a game over Glen Johnson!) but I would echo the posts already saying that it would be a shame if he left.

It's times like these (few goals, bad form and little passion) that players like Skins and Proths will shine through, as will all of the 'Old School'. Proths' dead-ball skills are unmatched in the team, and, fair enough, he isn't the best defender in the team, but who remembers his tackle on Donaldson vs York? And the countless assists he's provided? It'd be such a shame to see him go.

And everyone surely remembers him signing for the fleet on a specially erected table on the pitch...

Not only that, he's been loyally carrying out his club duties such as penning programme pieces, supporting many of the club initiatives with his presence (the recent girls' football where he was in the photo is just one). As a part-timer, and one that is seemingly ignored, he could have cheerfully turned his back on any of these duties.

I recall how he told BBC last season how much things had improved under Daish. I imagine given his current circumstances, he's eating a few of those words!
