Too many midfielders

To play in midfield we have:

 

- Darron Wilkinson

- Christian Metcalfe

- Michael Alexis

- Leigh Mason

- Andy Ballard

- Gerorge Moleski

- Glen Harris

 

That's 7 players and they are all pretty much central midfielders (although Mase and Chop can play wide).

 

Yet we have one out-and-out striker at the club in Hodgey (G's not what I consider an out-and-ot striker). Would it not make sense to release one of the midfielders to create money to being in a striker, proper winger or defender?
