The Elf is back!

Recommended Posts

Gary Elphick has returned to Clarence Park for an undisclosed fee from Brighton & Hove Albion. The 20 year old central defender was recalled by Albion from a loan spell at Aldershot Town this morning following a formal offer from the Saints. He is expected to be in the squad for the visit of Carshalton Athletic on Saturday.

Going out of Clarence Park is Mark Nwokeji who has joined Staines Town following a spell on loan.

Now that is a serious signing, Rob. Great news indeed. About Gary Elphick, I mean. Not Nwockers. That one is a horse of a different colour. [Loan spell? Why do we have to spin that stuff?]

So. City's first million pound signing, eh.

Bring on the Robins.

His little brother - who played for them in the PSF at the Fortress - signed a two year contract at whatever Brighton are called nowadays on the day Gary was told that he doesn't feature etc.

Is he available tomorrow? If not, is he any good on the tannoy? What sort of music does he go for? [sighs and remembers those classic pages in two seasons' matchday programmes - The chap who gets £50,000 a year for taking the team-sheet from the manager to the referee one hour before kick-off "In conversation with....."]
