Went to the Boro-Roma game last night and one of the guys who works in Newcastle was saying how hard it was supporting Boro surrounded by Geordies. For example, one of his colleagues is a Forest fan so he suggested he might like to go to the Riverside for the game.

Some 18 year old Geordie scoffed. "What would a Forest fan know about European football?" They both assumed he was joking at first but it became painfully obvious that he was deadly serious in his ignorance of the past.

Newcastle and Sunderland fans do tend to switch to boasting about their big attendances compared to Boro when their teams are doing badly on the pitch by the way.

I hear what you are saying Clive and ignorance of this young man is noted however what is the point in this post with my name as an inclusion other than that I am a Forest fan.Is there another point to your post other than just pointing that out to me?

Simply that I know Cookie is a Forest fan so I wanted to see he read it and perhaps had a chuckle.

By the way my mate and the Forest fan gave this Geordie a history lesson so he is now aware that football didn't begin in 1990!
