ex Gate REMY joins Swans(Staines)

As promised in the local press this week, Steve Cordery has added a new striker to the squad and we're delighted to welcome Ellis Remy from Bromley. Adding much-needed height and presence, Remy is a proven goalscorer (as 'Swans' fans witnessed all too well with his winner for the Kent side in the last game at Wheatsheaf Lane.) Prior to this season, he was top scorer at Margate last year and has also served Braintree Town and Grays Athletic most notably, who paid a substantial fee to Lincoln City for his services previously.

To make way (on the financial side,) Garry Sippetts has been released having contracted splinters from his regular spells on the bench in recent weeks (!) and Andre DeLisser has been short-term 'loaned' to Boreham Wood to get some games in following his recent injuries.

I'm not disappointed he was released. He didn't show enough work rate to fit into our system. The formation we play requires the target man to do a lot of running. In a flat 442 the target man can have the ball put on his head from the wingers and that is probably how Staines will use him. Could work really well.

Phil-sort of agree but we only really have Hockton as a striker, plus Bertie who many of u think is better a bit deeper, and Laurence who i a bit young and not strong enough as a target man, despite having a good right hook on him
