Luke Moore MOTM

Recommended Posts

I dont normally go anywhere near the side stand if I can help it, but spent some time during the second half chatting to a friend of mine. (Yes I do have one!)

I just could not believe the ammount of s**t coming from the people over by the Supporters club area. I didn't have a clue who they were, but I ended up walking away in total disgust. We may be having a bit of a tough time of it but what is the point of just standing there and spouting off absolute rubbish? A bunch of ignorant idiots.

And whats worse is that they were all of a certain mature age that should know better. Ok I'l accept that its a "pay yer money yer entitled to voice an opinion" type thing, BUT that was all just soooo over the top.

From what I can understand when I mentioned this to one of our more intelligent posters on this site, its a pretty common thing over there. When the MoM was announced I was a bit surprised as well but I'm not a sponser so haven't really got an opinion, HOWEVER the sarcastic response from the side stand was clearly audible from where i was standing in the covered end and was totally out of order.

The team needs help when its not playing well not the sort of slagging thats going on at the moment, and YOU know who you are.

I think you'll find that the persecution of such actions by those most guilty of the alledged offences has declined in recent months - unless you can find a recent one?

I did lampoon Chatham Gary for his 'airchair' faux pas.. but then I thought as a 'more mature' member of our circle, he was fair game...

I think you will find those are the "senile old goats" I often refer to. One old boy in a light coat and flat cap actually cheers when we concede a goal. We all took the p*ss out of him when Charlie lobbed in from 20 yards a couple of months ago - saying that would spoil his weekend!!!. The look of misery on his face was worth the £12 alone.
On many occaisions he has been told to shut the f*** up!!

If I had been the sponsor/s I don't think I would sponsor again. It is hardly the kind of behaviour to encourage sponsorship. I really do think that some of the old moaners are just jealous of the young players. It would be interesting to know what footballing skills some of them possessed when they were young. It is so easy to have a go at someone who can't retaliate.

The problem is that when you 'speak' on a forum such as this nobody knows who you are, the only way of deciding whether your opinion is worth listening to or not is the way you express yourself.
If you are either incapable or too lazy to punctuate and spell your message correctly then people who don't know you will assume you are stupid and treat your posts accordingly.

Summings-up of the issue don't hit the nail on the head much better than that. I salute you.

Ah at last, someone with a little sense.

I hate reading post's with spelling errors ect and think we should be allowed to say when someone has made an error. This will eventually iron out all errors and things will run smoother on the forum.

Are you taking Adult Education lessons then?

I was just ranting about how little Luke Moore had done in the game and then they announced he was man of the match..

Jackson should have got it.

And before I rated Luke Moore and said he should be given the chance to start a game. He's started a few games. He's been dismal. Now let's give Sodje a longer game.

Coleman looked more a goal threat and better hold up player ( and indeed did score a goal ) than young Luke is at present, but he got nothing but stick from the crowd, and was/is openly ridiculed on the terraces and on this forum.

I am not defending the booing that accompanied the MOM award on Tuesday, but once you pull on the 1st team vest you have to take the rough with the smooth and age does not come into it.

If he stays with us, he better get used to it, as booing and abusing our own players is very much the norm for a sizeable minority.

In that case, it's "posts", not "post's".

I think the key difference is that Luke seems much more able to liven up our attacking play when things are stale than Coleman was. But yes - Moore never really convinces when through on goal. Perhaps the confidence of a first Conference goal will help to rectify this.

Hannah's right though - it's Sodje's turn for a go up front.

Ah! You have fallen into Harry's clever trap! He makes these mistakes on purpose, or so he would have us all believe!
