Yeading 2 - City "

Far from superb in my opinion! Completely lacked the killer streak to beat a woefully poor Yeading team. Missed a host of chances, Matt Hann being particularly guilty.

Lee Clarke played far too deep; why given how poor the Yeading defence was?

Our defence fell apart at the end. Yeading, whose body language throughout showed they expected to lose, were gifted a point.

Given the strength of the Saints squad available, & the poor quality of the opposition I reckon this rates as one of the poorest displays of the season. We will need to improve considerably on this.

"In a spirited encounter City were nearly back to their early season best and deservedly went ahead after 23 mninutes when Ram Marwa headed in a Ben Walshe corner."

This sounds more like the reports I've had back not your rather depressing view Alban.

I would agree though that at times the defending this year has definately cost City any real chances of the title and will need to be resolved for next season. Mind you..who'd have thought we would even be talking about the title at all ?

we were superb last night [in my opinion . YEADING couldnt compete with us ,because we were so good. back to our best with our passing game and 100 percent work rate given by all.we should of scored at least 5 and yes i agree we gave away two bad goals. but these things happen in football. to all the players last night , i say thanks you were a joy to watch.roll on saturday.

That chap who writes for the website just about got it right (imo).

An excellent game to watch with high-octane football for the whole 90 minutes, fair-play to Ding they gave it all they'd got and never stopped running. We matched them and but for some poor finishing, especially in the second half, should have won comfortably.

Two bad defensive lapses and they came right back into it, on another day Bastock would have saved at least one of those but it wasn't to be.

Disappointing, but a great game and a fine advert for Conf South football, shame there were only about 150 there (100 from St Albans).

Yep, very disappointing last night. We should have won that game - it felt like we lost it! The Yeading goalie did make some fine saves though. ha well - good chips though <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> We've got to beat Carshalton on Saturday.

We were coasting this game for 80 plus minutes but the fact remains you have to turn your superiority into goals and we should have been at least 4 or 5 up by then. And why are we playing in those white shirts?
