Well, I know the result was a bit disappointing yesterday but we should be proud of the way we played and conducted ourselves throughout the match.

It was great to hear the fans singing for 90mins and I hope it lifted the players a bit. IMP, the penatly decision was comical, in the fact that it took the ref so long to react. It came at the wrong time for us as we had started to mount some pressure and play good football. Glad to see Brown score and restore some pride.

I have no complaints in the way we played yesterday and each player should be pleased with their performance. Im torn between Brown and Wilmott for MOTM. What about the rest of you?

Shame the stewards had to be so stupid and heavy handed. Dont they realise that the more they get involved the worse they make it?

Roll on the trophy! Lets hope we can have a good run in that, with another trip out to look forward to!

Lets concentrate on the league as well now!

Agreed; from a County perspective you appeared to play well as a team and with good spirit; if anything maybe the number of changes after you'd got back into the game in the second half may have been a mistake? Things were turning your way at that point and I was starting to sense that the pressure was bound to start paying off.

Your fans brought a good atmosphere in the town centre pubs (couldn't work out why you were singing 'Feed the World' in the Bobby Peel though!).

All the best for the rest of the season; good luck in gaining promotion.

Agreed, but it would have been even better had we been allowed behind the goal, stockport seemed to be trying to gain as much a advantage as they could,ok against a league side fair enough but a non-league side, what we`re they scared of ?

Yeah, but would you rather win the league, or have a half-decent Trophy run and finish 6th again.

Look at Dagenham and Farnborough. They didn't bother with Cup runs for a season, and they won the league.

Look at Canvey. They have their FA Cup 3rd Rounds, MOTD appearances and Trophy runs, but they're still in the Ryman. It takes its toll.

I for one, come May, should we holding the Championship Trophy aloft, will not be shedding any tears about losing at home to Hayes in the Trophy.

I agree, Zealster, the Trophy comes too late in the season. The FA Cup is over by the new year, where as the majority of the Trophy games come after that.

I suspect we'll probably beat Hayes, draw and trounce some inbred hick team in the next round, then lose to Canvey!
