Just been checking out the fisher team and not being funny but they are a conference quality team and i think weve got our work cut out if we are to beat them at all over the three games coming, whats your opinion on our chances against them fellow rebels supporters.

It goes without saying that Fisher are a very good side. The league table does not lie in that regard, nor does the fact that they have money to burn on achieving their league aspirations.

 

When we beat them in the league away from home it came as a big surprise, not least as I thought Fisher were the better team on the day and we were fortunate to steal the points.

 

They will start as favourites in the league game on Saturday, and given they appear to have taken the estview Cup seriously throughout the competition, I concur that it will be very tough to overcome them.

 

That said, we have three games to test ourselves against one of the better sides in this league. Bring it on

I've heard that they can score goals for fun and that the one chink in their armour is their defence. This will obviously mean that we will have to be at our best both in attack and defence.

 

On Saturday I think we are without Hodgey so I think we will struggle to get a result.

 

The cup games are midweek and I think our success or failure will largely depend on the result at Fisher on the Monday. If we can restrict them to a one goal advantage or better I think we will have an excellent chance to get a result in the home game.

Having just been outside and having heard the forecast for the next couple of days of rain and more rain I think the favourite to win on Saturday is the weather.

It could happen Paul, but it is too early to say at the moment with it being only Tuesday

In all honesty I think we'll lose on Saturday, though I'm looking forward to being proved wrong. In the first leg of the cup I think a draw would be an outstanding result, and hopefully at home we'll have a fair chance.

 

One factor will be Fisher's title challenge. If they beat us on Saturday, and Braintree stumble and lose at Folkestone, then the gap between the top two will be only 3 points. Fisher may well decide that it's not worth risking a full first-team in the Westview Cup. Whatever happens, I still expect three very tough games, and we'll do very, very well to get to the cup final.

I've given up trying to predict slough results, as we are too unpredicable.

Would it be better to lose the league game and get to the cup final again???
